East and West of a vertical line
that passes through a place
called Greenwich in London
(United Kingdom).
This line is numbered
and is called the Greenwich
Meridian.
The Equator divides the Earth into two hemispheres, the Northern Hemisphere and the
Southern Hemisphere. Mauritius and Rodrigues are found in the southern hemisphere.
